Anticipating Synergy in K-Beauty and Aesthetic Medical Devices: "Confident to Lead the Global K-Beauty Trend"

On the 19th, marking the resumption of BTB Korea’s stock trading on the KOSDAQ, CEO Choi Wan-kyu of BNC Korea stated, "The resumption of BTB Korea’s trading goes beyond the successful completion of the corporate rehabilitation process. It serves as a catalyst for a new leap forward in the global medical and bio market through strengthened strategic synergy with BNC Korea."

He further added, "By integrating BNC Korea's core K-Beauty portfolio—including botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, and cosmetics—with BTB Korea’s aesthetic medical device lineup, we aim to provide comprehensive total aesthetic solutions, thereby maximizing profitability and growth potential."

After initiating the rehabilitation process in April 2023, BTB Korea secured a crucial turning point by signing an investment agreement with BNC Korea, a KOSDAQ-listed company, in November 2023. Following the approval of the rehabilitation plan in December 2023, BTB Korea successfully merged with Dongin Biotech, a subsidiary of BNC Korea, in March 2024. This strategic move established a stable revenue structure and a solid foundation for bio-distribution.

The global aesthetic medical device market is projected to reach approximately 623 trillion KRW by 2031, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.1%. Notably, the home beauty device sector is expanding rapidly with a 36% growth rate, expected to reach about 45 trillion KRW by 2030. Driven by sustainable consumption trends in an era of high inflation, these devices are gaining traction as cost-effective alternatives. Demand is also surging in regions with limited medical infrastructure.

The outstanding IT and precision manufacturing technologies of Korean enterprises are the backbone of the global competitiveness of the K-Beauty device industry. Leveraging this industrial foundation and strategic partnerships, BTB Korea is actively expanding its global footprint.

Dongin Biotech is a highly profitable entity specialized in the distribution of diagnostic kits and bio-materials, generating consistent revenue in the life sciences and research reagents sector. Through this merger, BTB Korea recorded a revenue of 30.1 billion KRW and an operating profit of 900 million KRW last year.

Furthermore, drawing upon over 20 years of research support expertise, BTB Korea has completed the development of 'BTBMarket.kr'. This AI solution platform is designed to enhance research efficiency by providing researchers with empirically based experimental materials and methodologies. Scheduled for a beta launch in March 2025 and a grand opening with advanced features in July 2025, BTBMarket.kr is anticipated to introduce a new paradigm in the domestic and global life sciences sectors.

Industry assessments indicate that BTB Korea’s trading resumption signifies more than just recovery. The integration of BNC Korea’s aesthetic product line (toxins and fillers), BTB Korea’s medical device lineup, and Dongin Biotech’s bio-distribution network has completed a vertically integrated business structure encompassing R&D, manufacturing, and distribution.

CEO Choi Wan-kyu remarked, "This trading resumption signals the realization of powerful synergy between the two companies. We are confident that our organization will become a primary driver of the K-Beauty trend in the global market."
